Danny Marvan Managing Director
As the Managing Director and Owner, Danny holds a pivotal role in maintaining the quality and developing the work that Marvan’s produce and the projects they work on. From an early age Danny helped maintain family and friends gardens in his local town of Harwich. This planted a true love and real enthusiasm that grew into the established business he now runs today. With a friendly and approachable manner, a passion for community, and a love for his work, Danny and the team at Marvan’s are the right people for your job, whether it's domestic or commercial.
Sue Heath HR & Health & Safety Manager
Sue is an expert in all things HR and Health & Safety. Sue says that being a part of the strategic team is a privilege, as is to watch and be involved in Marvan's growth from small seeds to big acorns! She thinks it is simply wonderful to play a strategic part in a team that strives to give only the very best customer experience and always going that extra mile to ensure it. She is honoured to be a part of the Marvan's Magic!
Lisa Youngman Senior Administrator & Finance Officer
Lisa says seeing the positive changes in a young company over the space of just a year has been amazing. "Customer contact is definitely one of the highlights of the job" - As well as working with a great team where everyone pulls their weight, striving for the same goals. With 16 years experience as a co-ordinator, Lisa has been given the opportunity to bring in new ideas in to the running of the finance and admin side of the company. This has enabled Lisa to make the job her own. Seeing the positive changes has been extremely rewarding for Lisa and she thoroughly looks forward to seeing how the company continues to grow over the coming months and years.
Todd Holloway Project Development Executive
Marvan's employed Todd to take charge of the Landscape Team, to which he has made an exceptional difference by organising, meeting time scales and completing all work to an exceptionally high standard. Playing a huge part in the expansion of this team, Todd has become a valued member of the Landscape Team here at Marvan's and has adopted our company values and vision for the future. He's rapidly becoming one of the go-to guys for the whole Marvan family. When not at work he's usually to be found in and around the water, as he loves kayaking and paddle boarding.
Brian Hopgood Maintenance and Repair Workshop Manager / Yard Supervisor
Brian is simply epic! If its broken he can mend it, if its not running, he'll sort it! He is our new Workshop Manager and Yard Coordinator. Basically he is Danny’s new play thing and invaluable within the Marvan's family. With years of experience he is our go to man! He loves fishing and usually has something on the workbench 'under repair'.
Anthony Hayes Senior PTS Arborist / Tree Climber
Originally from East London, Ant now resides in Little Clacton. He's engaged to be married in 2021 to the love of his life and together they have five children. Ant knew from a young age that he wanted to work outdoors and trained with The National Trust, then went back to London and worked for almost every major authority over the years, in and around the Eastern Counties. He understands well that even now every day is a school day and every tree is different, posing different problems to which he finds the solutions. His hobbies include motorbikes, cycling, fishing and almost every other outdoor activity. "Its great to be outdoors, it’s one of the reasons why I love what I do for a living"
Sean Reeves Senior Landscape Operative / Team Leader
A devoted husband and father of one, Sean is ex-Royal Artillery with over sixteen years service for Queen and Country under his belt. Kayaking and kite surfing are still real passions, but these days so is landscaping and the quieter things in life. A fantastic asset to the Marvans Team with power and passion!!
Tony Gladwell Utility Arborist / Climber
Tony is a long serving team player and loyal individual who has a vast understanding of Tree Surgery. He has a certified background in both domestic tree surgery and even more so, in utility arboriculture. He is an important team player who always upholds the companies high standards through knowledge and great workmanship. We could not do without his wealth of knowledge or experience.
Dave Bright Senior Grounds Maintenance
Dave is a valued and respected member of the Marvan's team in his role as Senior Grounds Maintenance. He has an G-NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture and a wealth of experience. He was self employed within the industry for ten years and knows just important customer satisfaction is. He enjoy all aspects of working outside within his role and his willingness to help others infectious.
Martin Woodman Grounds Maintenance
Martin is extremely customer focused and ensures that your outside space, regardless of whether you are a business or an individual, is to the standard you deserve. He will always go out of his way to help regardless of whether it is within his job description. Martin loves his job and that is evident in his work. He is extremely popular with customer and staff alike. Martin loves a bit of PPE, be it for work or his love of the Himalayas.
Matt Mcelroy Apprentice Grounds Maintenance
Matt is currently studying horticulture at Writtle College. Enthusiastic and already a good fit with the team, we have every confidence in this young man's abilities. Nothing is ever too much trouble and he's usually one of the first to arrive, and the last to leave.
James Banks PTS / Rail Lead Climber & Tree Surgeon
An expert in his field, James is a vital part of the Marvan's team. A qualified PTS Lead Climber and Tree Surgeon James is a calming influence even when the pressure is on. James is Frinton-on-Sea born and bred, and his daughter is his world. He flows with positive vibes only, at all times! His favorite part of his job is seeing a client or customer happy and smiling after the Marvan magic has been done - It gives James enormous satisfaction to see the finished project. His aspirations are to one day be able to run his own company, like Danny himself - Aspirations are key to a focused happy life and that pretty much sums James up!
Callum Boyne PTS Fencing Operative
A family man with two little ones, Callum used to work on the railways. He is an avid footballer and football fan. For someone who works outside with nature, Callum hates spiders and doesn't take kindly to them getting too close. Sociable and hard working, Callum is a perfect fit for the team.
Harley H. Donaghy PTS Fencing Operative
Harley is our in-house fitness instructor. Health & Fitness is where his passions lay, so there is nothing better in his eyes than being out there in the great outdoors getting physical, no matter the weather. A sociable chap. Harley is friendly and personable with a 'can do attitude'.
Harrison Hunt Labourer
Harrison is a dedicated long-serving Labourer for Marvan's, working around college and on the weekends. He has found a new passion for landscaping and aspires to be one of the very best himself in the future. He is fit to face any challenge that the various projects afford and thrives on the energy that the team at Marvan's provide.
Joe Tallis-Dent Groundsman / PTS Rail Climber
Joe has not been with us long, but has hit the ground running. Currently a groundsman his aspirations are to become a fully qualified PTS Rail Climber and Tree Surgeon and he is due to complete his tickets very soon. Young and enthusiastic, Joe loves getting mucky, which is handy as he's usually up to his boots in mud.
Jarvis Moors Grounds Maintenance/ PTS Rail Climber
Jarvis is one of life's grafters, a natural and in touch with outside spaces. With aspirations towards, and his eye on becoming one of the county's top Tree Surgeons this chap has potential. He loves a bit of football and family and is a very practical member of the Marvan's family.
